(2006年10月12日)党的十六届六中全会全面分析了当前的形势和任务,通过了关于构建社会主义和谐社会若干重大问题的决定。胡锦涛同志在会上就深刻认识构建社会主义和谐社会的重大意义、切实贯彻好会议精神发表了重要讲话。全会通过的决定,以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,全面贯彻落实科学发展观,从中国特色社会主义事业总体布局和全面建设小康社会全局出发,提出了到2020年构建社会主义和谐社会的指导思想、目标任务、工作原则和重大部署,是指导当前和今后一个时期我们构建社会主义和谐社会
(October 12, 2006) The 6th Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee has comprehensively analyzed the current situation and tasks and passed the decision on several major issues concerning the building of a harmonious socialist society. At the meeting, Comrade Hu Jintao delivered an important speech on profound understanding of the great significance of building a harmonious socialist society and earnestly implementing the spirit of the conference. Guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of “Three Represents ”, the plenary session comprehensively implemented the scientific concept of development, proceeding from the overall layout of the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and the overall goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, and put forward the proposal of building by 2020 The guiding ideology, objectives and tasks, working principles and major deployment of a socialist harmonious society are the guide to the current and future period when we build a harmonious socialist society
