This article describes a non-ornithological footed feathered tail preserved in the mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber (about 99 million years ago), in which the feather structure shows the evolution of feathers. This specimen demonstrates a direct relationship between the primordial feather and the putative Juvenile Phasmatodea, with subtle morphological details preserved in the feather including the spatial distribution of feather plumes and feathers and the micron-scale features of feathers.
