This article analyzes the status quo of students’ origins in higher vocational colleges, expounds the theoretical basis of the hierarchical English teaching in higher vocational colleges and the necessity of implementing hierarchical English teaching. It mainly introduces the concrete implementation process of hierarchical English teaching, the specific requirements of students and teachers, the teaching effects produced, and some problems that should be noticed.
