海洋的遥感数字图象提供了温度、海流、海浪和海底地形的详细资料。用数字方法解释这种图象,大大增进了我们对海洋事件的理解,使图象和解释软件成了主要研究工具。基于个人计算机使用的图象解释软件和图象存储软盘的海洋科学课程,已成功地发展成UNESCO的新项目。
Remote sensing digital images of the ocean provide detailed information on temperature, currents, waves and seafloor topography. Interpreting this image numerically has greatly increased our understanding of ocean events and has made image and interpretation software a major research tool. Marine science courses based on image interpretation software and image storage diskettes used by personal computers have been successfully developed into new UNESCO projects.
