我国老一辈卓越的油画艺术家、美术教育家、中国美术家协会会员、中国美术学院教授胡善馀先生,因病经抢救无效,不幸于一九九三年十二月十三日十二时二十分在杭州逝世,享年八十四岁。 胡善馀先生一九○九年十二月出生于广东省开平县。早年就读于杭州国立艺专,一九三二年在法国留学,一九三五年一月以优异成绩毕业于巴黎国立高等美术学院。回国后,先执教于广州美术学校和国立艺专。抗战胜利后,国立艺专迁回杭州,胡先生历任国立艺专、中央美术学院华东分院和浙江美术学院教授。 胡善馀先生从三十年代起,就立足于油画创作。他的《自画像》、《静物》入选巴黎一九三四年的春季沙龙。作品多次入选全国性大展,油画《桃子和壶》等三十八幅作品分别为中国美术馆、上海美术馆、南京美术馆、浙江博物馆、云南美术馆等收藏。曾在杭州、广东、昆明、南京、上海等地举办个人油画展和《从艺六十周年油画作品回顾展》、《胡善馀艺术研讨会》,受到国内外艺术界高度赞扬。他为我国油画艺术作出了杰出的贡献。胡先生一生纯正率直、淡泊自甘,他对教学一贯认真负责,热爱学生,言传身教。他高尚的师德感化着一代又一代的海内外学子。他的精神和风范将长留人间。
Mr. Hu Shan-yu, a professor of Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, an outstanding oil-painting artist, an art educator and a member of the Chinese Artists Association, who is an outstanding artist of the older generation of our country, was ineffective in rescuing sickness and disease. Unfortunately, on December 13, 1993, Fen died in Hangzhou, at the age of eighty-four. Mr. Hu Shanyu was born in Kaiping County, Guangdong Province in December 1990. He studied at the National Arts College of Hangzhou in his early years, studied in France in 1932, and graduated with honors from the National Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Paris in January 1935. After returning home, first taught in Guangzhou Art School and National Arts. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the National Art School was relocated to Hangzhou. Mr. Hu served successively as a state art college, a professor of East China Branch of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and a professor of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. Since the 1930s, Mr. Hu Shanyu has been based on the creation of oil paintings. His “self portrait” and “still life” were selected for the spring salon in Paris in 1934. His works have been selected into national exhibitions for many times. Thirty-eight works of oil painting Peaches and Pot are respectively collected by the China Art Museum, Shanghai Art Museum, Nanjing Art Museum, Zhejiang Museum and Yunnan Art Museum. He had solo exhibitions in Hangzhou, Guangdong, Kunming, Nanjing and Shanghai, as well as “A Retrospective Exhibition of Oil Paintings from the 60th Anniversary of the Art Works” and “Hu Shanshu Art Symposium”, highly praised by the art circles at home and abroad. He made outstanding contributions to the art of oil painting in our country. Mr. Hu straight straightforward life, indifferent to his own, he has always been serious and responsible teaching, love students, precept and example. His noble morality has influenced generations of students both at home and abroad. His spirit and style will stay forever.
