陆云在孙吴亡国后先被徙于寿阳,后由西晋扬州刺史周浚招为从事,至主簿,又升太子舍人,进入洛阳;出补浚仪令,后弃官回老家。元康二年(292年)陆云再次入洛,与乃兄陆机同行。陆机出任太子洗马,陆云则等待新的出仕机会。他们在洛阳一道进行了不少活动。两年后,他们同为吴王司马晏郎中令,成为直接的同僚。
