天津市第二届各界人民代表會議協商委員會成立于一九五○年一月。一年来,本會若干重大工作,均能興市人民政府委員會召開聯席會議解决,关于全市重大工作的建議,都由市人民政府委員會採納執行。而在本會一年来工作中,更得到各民主黨派和各階層人民的支持,因此,工作獲得一定成績。有鼎市政工作除山市人民政府委員會報告外,并將本會主要工作報告如下:
The Second Session of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress Consultative Committee was established in January 1950. In the past year, a number of major tasks of this Council have been resolved by the convening of a joint meeting of the Xing Municipal People’s Government Committee. The recommendations on major work in the city have been adopted by the Municipal People’s Government Committee. In the course of this year’s work, this Council has won the support of all the democratic parties and people of all walks of life. As a result, the work has achieved some success.
