地膜覆盖栽培是近几年发展起来的一项农业生产新技术,是传统农业与现代农业技术相结合的一种新的栽培技术体系。我国自1979年开始此项技术小面积试验,1980年,试验、示范面积发展到2.5万亩,到1982年,地膜覆盖栽培面积猛增到177万亩,为1980年的70.8倍。1986年,仅山西省地膜覆盖栽培面积就达180多万亩,全国共发展到2700多万亩,在不同地区多种作物上充分显示了这一新技术的增产增收效益。 贵州从1980年开始试验、示范和推广地膜覆盖栽培技术,1982年覆盖栽培面积为370亩,1984年发展到3.45万亩,其中以水稻地膜育秧面积最大,占总面积的63%,到1986年,贵州发展速度最快、面积最大的水稻地膜育秧也仅25万亩,在玉米等旱地作物上的应用还处于小面积试验、示范阶段。与先进省区相比,贵州的发展速度是很缓
