脑啡肽(Enkephalins,Enk)包括蛋氨酸-脑啡肽(Methionine~5-Enkephalin,ME)或亮氨酸-脑啡肽(Leucine~5-Enkephalin,LE)。这两个五肽与阿片受体结合后所产生的生理和生化作用与假定它们具有的神经递质作用相一致。脑啡肽在大脑组织中的作用十分短暂。一般认为,脑啡肽失活方式是通过酶解过程进行的。对酶稳定的脑啡肽类似物同样具有与脑啡肽相似的药理作用,包括能产生强效镇痛作用。
Enkephalins (Enk) include Methionine ~ 5-Enkephalin (ME) or Leucine ~ 5-Enkephalin (LE). The physiological and biochemical effects of these two pentapeptides binding opioid receptors are consistent with the hypothesis that they have neurotransmitter effects. The role of enkephalin in brain tissue is very short. It is generally believed that enkephalin inactivation occurs through enzymolysis. Enkephalin-stabilized enkephalin analogs also have similar pharmacological effects as enkephalins, including potent analgesia.
