本文提出过程-状态论是建立在信息论、控制论、系统论基础之上更高层次的科学方法论,是现代哲学和现代数学与各门科学方法论相交缘而产生的新的整体化、数学化的科学方法论学科。并从现代科学的现状及发展趋势,及其对现代社会的深远影响和现代科学提供的可能等方面阐述了过程-状态论是历史的必然产物。从哲学高度论述过程-状态论思想、现代数学提供的对过程、状态的描述和研究的可能,到以哲学和数学为方法的信息论、控制论、系统论实质的剖析,奠定了过程-状态论内容的基础。通过对它的方法论功能的分析,说明了过程-状态论的产生是完全必要的,是时代的产物。
