作为全国历史文化名城的赣州,其城市个性和特征,是立于赣江之源、三江之洲的赣州古城街巷格局及现存历史文化文物名胜、古旧街宅建筑,其中又以丰富的宋代城市文物遗存最为突出,这是赣州老城的体型结构,也即个性。赣州的历史文化特征,便是赣州的主要社会特征。概言之,山水宋城应是赣州城的个性和魅力所在。
