Relevant statistics from Jiangsu Province show that the shipbuilding industry in Jiangsu Province maintained a rapid development trend with the spread of the global financial crisis and the declining export of products. In 2008, the shipbuilding completion volume was 8.895 million tons, accounting for 30.9% of the domestic share.
