也许你会说,流行性感冒(流感)有啥了不起,不就是感冒吗,挺一挺就过去了,不会死人的。怀有这种观念的人,绝非少数,现实中大有人在。本世纪初(1918～1919年)一次流感大流行,全世界大约有2,000万人死于流感及其并发症。也许你会说,那已经是历史了,那时候医学还不发达。可就在今年冬春,世界上最发达的国家美国,一次规模不大不小的流感流行,就夺去了两万多人的生命。美国疾病防治中心表示,自冬春以来,流感席卷全美38个州,81％是A型病毒,19％是B型病毒。到4月末为止,死亡人数已超过两万。你还能说流感不死人吗?
