我们英语教学的任务决不是仅仅教会学生理解所学的英语课文材料,更为重要的是通过有效的阅读教学活动的开展,对学生进行学习方法的指导和阅读技能的训练,教会学生怎样运用恰当的学习策略开展学习活动,从而逐步培养语言学习的能力。从语言的总体来看,阅读能力是一个综合的概念,主要是指在掌握和运用语言的基础上能够顺利成功地阅读书刊和文献的能力。因此,如何在有限的时间里最大限度地提高学生的阅读能力,成为英语教育工作者面临的一个重要课题。笔者结合自身实践经验,认为培养学生的阅读策略极其重要,具体来讲可从以下六个方面入手:一、大量阅读适合的材料语言技能是学生的语言综合能力的重要方面,而语言技能的获得在很大程度上有赖于通过大量阅读来实现。调查研究结果表明,
