章太炎的《国学概论》一直是治文史者的最佳入门书籍之一。自 1 92 2年初版以来 ,先后再版 30余次 ,“该算是最销行的一种”。但该书也间有错误。本文即指出了其中的一处 ,并分析了其所以致误的原因。通过对勘不同的版本以及核对当时的报刊资料 ,笔者认为章太炎演讲本无误 ,而是曹聚仁在记录整理过程中发生了错误。由于各版本皆未能对其加以更正 ,这一错误也就一直持续至今。
Zhang Taiyan’s “Introduction to Sinology” has always been one of the best introductory books for the historian of science and education. Since its first edition in 1992, it has been reprinted more than 30 times, “It is one of the most selling outlets.” But there is a mistake in the book. This article points out one of them and analyzes the reasons why it was so erroneous. By examining different versions and checking the newspapers and periodicals at that time, I think Zhang Taiyan’s speech is correct. Instead, Cao Juren made a mistake during the process of recording and arranging. Since all versions failed to correct it, the mistake has continued to this day.
