长兴县地处苏、浙、皖三省交界,位于浙江省北部边缘 全县总面积1428 km2,人口62万。境内三面环山,一面傍水,县域内主要水系有西苕溪、泗安溪、箬溪、乌溪自西向东流入太湖。特殊的地形特点,加上地理位置处于北亚热带季风区,造成上游纵坡降大,源短流急.下游平原地区河道平缓,且受太湖水顶托,历来是水、旱灾害频发地区
Changxing County is located in the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, located in the northern edge of Zhejiang Province, the total area of 1428 km2, population 620,000. The territory of three sides of the mountain, one side of the water, the county’s main water system Xitiaoxi, Si Anxi, Sui River, Wu Xi flows from west to east into Taihu Lake. The special terrain features and the geographical location is in the north subtropical monsoon region, causing the upstream longitudinal slope to decrease and the source short stream urgently. The river courses in the lower reaches of the plain are gentle, and are subject to Taihu Lake water support, which has always been a frequent area with frequent water and drought disasters
