Sino-French Tibet Seminar jointly organized by Institute of Ethnology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the National Research Center for Himalayas, Institute of Environment, Society and Development, France, according to the agreement of both sides, was first held in 2000 in Paris, France, The second session was held in Beijing, China from October 15 to October 20, 2001. The theme of this seminar is “Tibetan Culture: History and Reality.” Meeting
