According to the Vietnam Trade Ministry, exports of Vietnamese coffee in 2004 are expected to reach 900,000 tons, with an export volume of 590 million U.S. dollars, which will be the highest level in 30 years. In the first 11 months of 2004, Vietnam exported 800,000 tons of coffee and exported 550 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 44% over the same period of last year. Vietnam coffee exports to 59 countries around the world, of which Germany and the United States are the major Vietnamese coffee importers.
