作者从百慕大群岛土壤分得新种灰类放线菌Streptomyces goldiniensis var.goldiniensis,并报导该菌株产生的抗菌素X-5108(Ⅰ)的发酵、分离与性质。发酵培养基(%):1固体番茄酱,1酒渣溶出物固体,1.5葡萄糖,0.1碳酸钙,0.1磷酸氢二钾于28℃发酵,6天后Ⅰ浓度达200毫克/升以上。发酵滤液用乙酸丁酯提取,提取液减压浓缩至约1/7体积,以1.7N钠代丙二酸二乙酯(DESM)调至PH9,滤取沉淀物,以乙酸丁配洗后溶于水,酸化至pH4,用乙酸丁酯提取,浓缩后再用DESM沉淀(pH 8.5,8.0),重复上述处理,乙酸丁酯萃取液经活性炭脱色后浓缩,最后以DESM沉淀(pH 8.0)得黄色无定形固体(纯度70%,尚含少量其它活性
