中国画不会因西方文化的强势冲击而改变方向。吸取西方绘画中的有益成分，以我为主，为我所用，以开放的心态俯瞰古今中外，从容地站在民族文化的根基上方可向前发展。不能真正潜下心来学习和钻研民族艺术的传统，就不可能有真正意义上民族艺术的创新。只有远离时尚，才有可能创造经典。只有经典才具有永恒的魅力。
