根据埃及的传说,奥西里斯神战胜了死亡,每一个埃及人都希望能效仿他的成功事迹。在传说中,奥西里斯是一位深得民心的统治者,但被他邪恶的弟弟塞思给谋杀了。塞思将他的尸体砍成14块,并撒入了奔流的尼罗河中。奥西里斯的妻子伊西斯找到了他身体的各个部分,并和木乃伊之神阿努比斯一道,将各部分拼合在一起,这便形成最早的木乃伊。伊希斯和阿努比斯还一起运用神力让奥西里斯复活。之后奥西里斯成为死亡世界永恒的主宰。
According to Egyptian legend, Osiris defeated death, and every Egyptian hopes to follow his example. In the legend, Osiris was a popular ruler, but was murdered by his evil brother Seth. Seth cut his body into 14, and scattered into the running of the Nile. Assisi’s wife, Isis, found all parts of his body and, together with Anubis, the god of mummification, assembled the various parts together to form the earliest mummies. Isis and Anubis also use the divine power to revive Osiris. Osiris became the eternal ruler of the world of death.
