一九五四年四月八日中央人民政府政务院关於改进和发展中学教育的指示中指出:“教学改革应以教学内容的改革为中心,相应地改革教学方法”。而教学内容的改革,首先要求教师钻研教材,领会和掌握每课的教学目的,抓住它的中心思想和中心内容,然后按照既定的教学目的,把教材的思想内容和科学内容正确地系统地传授给学生。因此,正确的确定课堂教学目的是正确进行课堂教学的先决条件。历史课程的教学目的,包括学科目的、单元及章节目的,而学科目的又是各课堂教学目的的总和,它是通过课堂教学来实现的。我在这里只谈历史课堂教学目的。
