《两扇窗里的月亮》一剧中,出现了大量含有动物意象的印第安人名,要对其进行翻译介绍,首先得了解莫马迪戏剧集《三部剧》中印第安人和动物之间的关系。本文从《三部剧》中印第安人对动物工具性价值的追求、对动物智慧的赋予和超能力的膜拜,以及伙伴关系的建立三方面入手,探析印第安人的动物观,从而在深入了解印第安文化的同时,为含有动物意象的印第安人名找到合理的翻译方法和依据。
In “The Moon in Two Windows” there appeared a large number of Indian names with animal images. To interpret them, we must first understand the relationship between Indians and animals in the episode relationship. This article starts from three aspects of the Indians ’pursuit of the value of animal tools in the “Three Dramas”, the conception of animal wisdom, the cult of super powers, and the establishment of partnership, explores Indians’ Culture, at the same time, find reasonable translation methods and basis for Indian names containing animal images.
