位于艺象“山城”(原印染厂生活区)中的14栋员工宿舍是深圳工业化与开放政策后的第一批产业工人的居住地。这幢依山而建的四层砖混结构建筑在荒废多年后显得沧桑、凋零,南面道路边上的一排与厂区年纪相仿的细叶榕与藤蔓相连,却在工业撤离后更生机勃发。它们的旺盛生命力正是引发我们在破败的建筑内部重新植入艺术生活空间的冲动。建筑更新的操作由两个竖向层面始发:一是内部中间宿舍走道连同建筑基础配套的更新,作为新的居住生活的中枢;二是
The 14 staff quarters located in Yi Xiang “Shan Cheng ” (the original printing and dyeing factory living area) are the first industrial workers to live in Shenzhen after the industrialization and opening-up policies of Shenzhen. This mountain-built four-storey brick-framed building appears vicissitudes and decay after many years of desertion. The rows of small-leaf banyan trees of the same age as those on the south side of the road on the south side are linked to the vines. However, they are thriving after the industrial evacuation. Their vitality is precisely the urge to reinvent art space in our dilapidated buildings. Building renovation operation originated from two vertical levels: First, the internal intermediate dormitory walkway along with the building infrastructure updates, as the new hub of living; the second is
