石棉肺肺功能的研究在国外是四十年代开始的,到六十年代得到高度重视和发展。从常规肺功能到弥散功能、小气道功能测定以及运动试验、肺顺应性测定、血液气体分析等等的肺功能试验已广泛用于石棉肺的诊断、疾病进展的评价以及流行病学调查。 最早的研究所关心的是那些有X线异常改变的晚期石棉肺病人的生理学类型和特征,后来人们直接用肺功能测定检测那些在X线改变
The research on asbestos lung-lung function started in the 1940s in foreign countries and was highly valued and developed in the 1960s.
