史铁生离开我们快一年了。他离去时坐在轮椅上安详的背影,一直在我眼前浮现。我可能是铁生写的《午餐半小时》最早的读者之一。不是其后陆续发表在贵阳《花溪》、北京《今天》、北大《未名湖》上的那篇,而是更早刊发在西安民间杂志上的那个版本。1978年我参与创办的《十月》发行后,就有一百多个单位强烈要求和我们交换刊物。那年秋天我接到曾在陕北插过队、西北大学中文系学生方竞主编的《希望》。读到其上的《午餐半小时》,眼睛为之一亮。小说写得沉郁、精练、老辣,颇有鲁迅余风,堪与经典短篇媲美,内心颇受震动。
