我国锰矿蕴藏丰富,其特点是贫矿居多,高磷高铁矿和复合矿石都占有相当数量,不能直接生产硅锰合金、中低炭锰铁,更不能生产金属锰。为了适应钢铁工业生产飞跃发展的需要,必须对贫锰矿进行予先处理,使锰富集。目前用一般的机械选矿方法往往得不到满意的指标,需要开展新的技术途径。
