哈特列斯在《专业知识修辞学》一书中分析了政治、历史、医学和信息四个领域的专业知识修辞特点,发现它们的修辞策略大同小异,总结出六条共性,并宣称专业知识本身就是修辞的产物,从修辞学角度看,专业知识可视为一种独立的体裁。
