中国科学院植物研究所生理研究室自1953年开始,连年在天津、北京等地人民公社生产队和国营农场总结农民水稻丰产经验,通过学习和调查研究,基本上掌握了千斤高产水稻的栽培技术。1964年又在北京红星公社和义生产队蹲点,与农民相结合,搞了21亩稳产高产田和15亩对此试验田。由于采用良种,薄膜保温湿润育秧,插稀长密依靠分蘖的合理密植,前重后轻的施肥措施,水层灌溉与落干烤田相结合等先进栽培技术,在当年气候多雨和病害较多的情况下,仍然获得亩产平均963斤的高产,超过当地一般产量33.3%。现将高产田的栽培技术试验结果以及我们对进一步提高水稻产量的意见,分述如下。
