According to the August issue of Science and Life in France, JCB UK designed and produced the JCB165 fire-extinguishing robot at the request of firefighters in Desiree West Yorkshire. It can go deep into the heart of a fire, while its driver can remotely control 100 meters away. The fire-fighting robot is actually a steel-made tractor that uses a 2.2-liter diesel engine and has four solid rubber tires that are much more stamina-resistant than pneumatic tires. This fire-fighting robot weighs about 2.5 tons, advancing or retreating at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour. In the experiment, it can persist for 10 minutes at a high temperature of 800 degrees Celsius without any damage. The main feature of this fire-fighting robot is its hinged arm, which is a bit like a crane on a crane used in construction. It can be loaded with a wide variety of appliances: forks, pliers, shovels, and a clip that can be gripped by a hydraulic system.
