为满足移动电话业务需求高速增长的要求,埃及电信管理局2001年5月开始讨论,并于8月份作出决定,由埃及电信(公司)负责组建第三家GSM移动通信公司,并计划从2002年12月开始向公众提供移动通信服务。
In response to the rapid growth in demand for mobile telephony, the Egyptian Telecommunications Authority began discussions in May 2001 and decided in August that Egypt Telecom (the company) will be responsible for establishing a third GSM mobile communications company and plans to start from 2002 December began to provide mobile communications services to the public.
