大众文化的发展,极大地改变了人们的生活空间,对政治、经济、文化和社会形态造成了较大影响。大众文化背景下的现代艺术,反映了人们的精神生活特征,现代艺术也具有大众文化的相关特征,使得现代艺术设计具有商业化倾向、复制拼贴倾向和以吸引眼球为目标等特征,因而现代艺术设计在适应社会潮流的同时,还应不断发挥其创造性,不断创造新的时尚。因此,本文就大众文化的内涵及特征进行了阐述,并分析了大众文化背景下现代艺术的意义及主要特征,指出艺术家在享受大众文化带来的广阔创作环境的同时,应承担相应的社会责任,创作更优秀的现代艺术作品。
