“Invisible Collection” is one of the short stories of Austrian short story writer Zweig. The novel, by one of the most prestigious antiquarians in Berlin, tells the story of an avid love for art collectors among blind, elderly people, as well as the deep catastrophe that German inflation inflicted on ordinary people after World War I. The novel is full of love and warmth from start to finish. The first is the old man’s love of art. The second is the old-age wife and his wholehearted love for him. Finally, it is Zweig’s love for spiritual homeland and his hope for peace. Precisely because of love for the spiritual homeland, the image of the veteran veteran who loves to collect his works is vividly expounded. It is out of his expectation of peace that there is a silent and powerful complaint against the war in the text. Out of love for the nation, readers have been able to see the noble humanity still gleaming in a special era.
