梅林水库是我市重要的调节水库,库容1300万m~3。其下游为福田区委、区政府中心区及密集住宅小区,地理位置相当重要。在深圳水库检修及市里紧急用水期间,梅林水库发挥着重要的调节功能,能及时保证对市民的供水。 梅林水库管理处肩负对梅林水库的管理和开发重任。多年来,他们认真贯彻落实水法,加强库区管理及水资源环境整治工作。 近年来,他们下大力气对水库的环境及安全进行全面整治,绿化面积上万m~2,种树上千棵,修环库路二条,对大堤的不安全隐患裂逢、渗漏等进行经常性的维护,以确保安全。他们观察制度严密,监测及时,原始资料齐全,管理规范科学。为顾大局,他们对大堤下近10万m~2的违章建筑等全部进行拆除,清除垃圾和卫生死角,美化了环境,消除了安全隐患。目前,控制水土流失3000～4000m~2。 与此同时,他们积极开展多种经营,养鱼,种树,进行土地开发等,拟对大堤下的土地进行公园式开发、建设、为特区的建设做贡献。
