《物体热胀冷缩》(一)的教学,重点是认识液体热胀冷缩的性质,而固体热胀冷缩的性质,主要是运用研究液体热胀冷缩性质的方法和程序来进行探究的,教材通过一幅插图,示范了钢球热胀冷缩实验过程。教材考虑到学生的年龄较小,实验操作能力还处于培养阶段,做钢球穿环的实验有一定的困难和危险,不适宜分组实验,由教师演示实验完成这一任务。但是规律是从众多的可重复出现的个别现象中归纳概括出来的。如果只让学生在教师演示实验中观察钢球热胀冷缩的现象,去归纳、抽象出固体热胀冷缩的性质,这不符合科学研究的程序,对学生也没有说服力。
