Maika - Creek Rare Metal - Muscovite Pegmatite is located near Australia’s famous Mount-Isaordo metal deposit, 10-15 km south-west of Mount Isa. Muscovite was mined here during the 1920s; beryl was mined on a small scale during the Second World War and during the postwar period (until 1960). In the pegmatite vein in addition to the above minerals, but also see cassiterite, niobium iron ore, tantalite, silicon beryllium stone and monazite. Pegmatite ore was produced in an area of about 80 square kilometers north of the granite punctuality. This granite belongs to the age of 1550 million years of the Xibeiru complex, which cut through the Heshilinge gravel group (1650-1700 million years) and its overlying Jugenna layer and other rocks.
