1950年代末1960年代初起,东南亚华文诗坛爆发了现代诗运动。现代诗的出现,直接向统治东南亚华文诗坛达40年之久的现实主义诗歌传统发起挑战,由此导致了“写实与现代之争”(即现实主义与现代主义之争)的发生。然而,东南亚华文诗坛发生的现实主义与现代主义的论争,最终在向传统回归的途中完成了现实主义与现代主义的合流。
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the modern poetry movement broke out in the Chinese poetry circles in Southeast Asia. The appearance of modern poetry directly challenges the tradition of realist poetry that ruled the Chinese-language poem in Southeast Asia for 40 years. As a result, the dispute between “realism and modernism” (ie the dispute between realism and modernism) has taken place. However, the debate between realism and modernism in the Chinese poetry community in Southeast Asia finally completed the confluence of realism and modernism on the way to its return to tradition.
