The change of structure and the crack growth during the oxidation of C-10 3 niobium modified Ti-Cr-Si protective coating were analyzed. The results show that the properties of glassy oxide coating on the surface of the coating, the silicon content in the coating main body and the growth of the low silicide and its mechanical properties determine the crack propagation behavior in the coating
