Objective To understand the quality of sleep quality of medical staff and to explore the relationship between coping style and occupational burnout and sleep quality. Methods A total of 155 hospital medical staff were surveyed using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Job Burnout Inventory (MBI-GS) and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ). Results ① There was no significant difference in quality of sleep between doctors and nurses and domestic norm. There was no significant difference in quality of sleep between doctors and nurses. ② There was a difference in the total scores of burnout among doctors and nurses (t = 2.49, P <0.01) ), The overall level of job burnout of doctors is higher than that of nurses. The two factors of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization were higher than that of nurses (t = 3.36, P <0.01; t = 2.01, P <0.05); ③The doctors responded positively to the factors lower than the nurses, (T = 3.30, P <0.01; t = 2.45, P <0.05); ④ The total score of sleep quality of medical staff was positively correlated with the total score of job burnout (r = 0.343, P <0.01). There was a significant positive correlation between subjective sleep quality factor, sleep time factor, sleep disturbance factor and daytime dysfunction factor and emotional exhaustion factor (r = 0.260,0.218,0.568; P <0.01). The total score of sleep quality and each factor sub-positive coping factor and negative coping factor correlation was not significant. Conclusion The overall quality of sleep quality of medical staff is good, and the professional burnout of doctors is more serious than that of nurses. Compared with nurses, doctors take more negative coping styles. And there is a certain degree of positive correlation between sleep quality and occupational burnout among health care workers, and the correlation between them is not obvious.
