《埋藏式钢管外压稳定计算》一文(发表于本刊1982生创刊号,以下简称原文)利用变分原理,考照阿姆斯图兹公式,导出了具有初始不圆度的埋藏式钢管在极限平衡条件下的临界外压公式,证明初始不圆度对埋藏式钢管外压稳定的影响很小。关于初始不圆度对埋藏式钢管外压稳定的影响历来有两种意见:一种认为初始不圆度对埋管的外压稳定有较大影响,甚至把钢管的径向偏差和初始缝隙的作用等同起来,如孟泰尔等;另一种意见则认为埋管的施工程序是先安装钢管然后浇筑混凝土,后者按前者成形,初始不圆度只不过是改变了钢管的曲率半径,对埋管的外压稳定不会有太大的影响。原文的工作对于澄清以上的不同意见是很有帮助的。同时,原文也证明现有的各家计算埋管临界外压的公式对高强度钢仍然适用,这一工作无疑也是很有意义的。现提出以下意见供考虑:
