里西房伤科始于南宋年间,师祖少林武僧徐神翁保驾来杭,后至绍兴下方桥悬壶行医,取名“里西房”伤科。在浙东北声誉卓著,传弟子逢农历三、六、九日赴绍兴市区坐诊,至今仍负盛名,历代相传,支脉繁衍,晚清传至傅氏已历4代,100多年。主张内治与外治并重,其伤膏虽为外治,也注重辨证施
