江泽民同志在十六大报告中提出,发展社会主义民主政治,建设社会主义政治文明是全面建设小康社会的重要目标。建设社会主义政治文明是我党第一次在全国代表大会的报告中明确的,而且将它与建设社会主义物质文明、社会主义精神文明一起确定为社会主义现代化建设的三大基本目标。预示着国家的政治文明建设更加良性地发展并因之带来经济、文化建设的更加优化的政治环境和外部条件。
Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out in the report of the 16th CPC National Congress that the development of socialist democracy and building a socialist political civilization are the important goals of building an overall well-to-do society. The construction of socialist political civilization is the first time that our party has made it clear in the report of the National People’s Congress. It has also been identified with the building of a socialist material civilization and a socialist spiritual civilization as the three basic goals of socialist modernization. This indicates that the country’s political civilization construction has developed more benignly and has brought about a more optimized political environment and external conditions for economic and cultural development.
