人与自然的关系是薇拉·凯瑟作品中不断重复的主题。其不同时期的作品塑造了许多与自然浑然一体的人物。本文以《大主教之死》为个案,从崇尚自然、敬畏大地和质朴生活三方面论述凯瑟作品中的印第安生态智慧。
The relationship between man and nature is a recurring theme in Vera Cather’s work. His works of different periods have shaped many characters that are in harmony with nature. This article takes the death of archbishop as a case to discuss the Indian ecological wisdom in the works of Cather from three aspects: respect for nature, fear of earth and simple life.
