职业技能鉴定工作是企业“三支队伍”建设的重要工作之一,是释放人才能量、打造核心竞争力的有效手段。近年来,湖南电力行业职业技能鉴定中心坚持以提高企业员工整体素质为目标,以造就高技能人才为重点,规范鉴定流程,强化资源配置,创新鉴定模式,优化鉴定服务,扎实开展各项工作。至2012年底,全省电力行业共有97120人次参加了鉴定,取证52390人,其中:技师取证3312人,高级技师取证918人,为加速国网湖南公司“两个转变”、加快“一强三优”建设步伐提供了人才保障和智力支持。
