The Doctor “The Doctor” is one of the masterpieces of Sir.Samuel Luke Fildes, a famous nineteenth-century social realist painter. The protagonist in the painting is a family doctor who looks attentively in the light of the little girl (patient) lying on the bed. The demeanor and posture of the doctor reveal a credible professionalism and strength. The little girl’s healthy outlook shows that her condition has stabilized. The light meets the dawn through the window and shows her hope of life.
