In this paper, solid phase radioimmunoassay was used to detect the presence of circulating HBsAg / IgM complexes (HBsAg / IgM) in the serum of HBsAg-positive acute hepatitis patients. This complex may reflect the immunosuppression of HBsAg and anti-HBs, or non-specific binding of IgM to HBsAg due to physicochemical affinity. In 94 patients with acute hepatitis B, the positive rate of HBsAg / IgM in the acute phase of infection was 100%.
