杜鹃花自然野生种类很多,映山红属其中之一。大都分布在山区疏林之下或丘陵灌木丛间,目前仍处于自生自灭的原始状态。利用映山红老桩做砧木嫁接东鹃、西鹃良种,不仅能大大提高映山红桩景的艺术价值,而且能更好地利用野生资源,创造更多更大的经济、社会效益。笔者自八四年起经过四年的试验,终于取得了成功。达到了“古雅奇特、妙趣横生的树桩盆景与娇艳多彩的杜鹃花结合一体”的预期效果(见图)。随着
Rhododendron species of many natural wild, azalea is one of them. Mostly distributed in the mountains under the sparse forests or among the hills and shrubs, is still in its infancy of the original state. By using the old pile of azaleas as the rootstocks for grafting the cuckoo and the cuckoo varieties, it not only greatly enhances the artistic value of the azalea pile but also makes better use of the wild resources and creates more and greater economic and social benefits. After four years of experiment since 1984, the author has finally achieved success. Reached the “quaint, fun-filled stump bonsai and colorful combination of azaleas,” the expected results (see Figure). along with
