陈剑是黄埔军校二十二期毕业生,解放后参加了解放军,当过师司令部作战参谋,抗美援朝去了三年。1955年转业回故乡辽宁义县当教师。为了提高业务水平,又考入辽宁省函授学院,含辛茹苦,念了五年。陈剑的许多亲属都在海外。中共十一届三中全会以后,随着各项政策的落实,陈剑得以与亲人团聚。他首先去香港和大哥见了面,40多年的别离使兄弟二人有叙不完的情,说不完的话。陈剑谈了自己的生活、工作、家庭等状况,大哥听了以后惊讶地连说四个“没想到”:"没想到中共让你来香港见我;没想到你能活得这样好;没想到你能上大学、当中学校
