志愿服务几乎是每个文明社会不可缺少的一部分,它是指任何人自愿贡献个人时间和精力,在不为物质报酬的前提下,为推动人类发展、社会进步和社会福利事业而提供服务的活动。志愿服务突出地表现在非政府组织、专业协会、工会和其他民间组织的活动中。许多社会运动都主要依靠志愿者的帮助。志愿服务在经济发展和社会进步中具有十分重要的意义。新形势下工会组织必须充分发挥好自身的优势和作用,深入推进职工志愿服务工作,为经济和社会发展作出新的贡献。深入推进职工志愿服务活动的重要意义推进职工志愿服务活动,是贯彻落实党的十八大精神的必然要求。
Volunteering is an indispensable part of almost every civilized society. It refers to any person who voluntarily contributes personal time and energy to provide services to promote human development, social progress and social welfare without material reward . Volunteering is outstanding in the activities of non-governmental organizations, professional associations, trade unions and other non-governmental organizations. Many social movements rely mainly on volunteer help. Volunteering is of great importance in economic development and social progress. Under the new situation, the trade union organizations must give full play to their own advantages and roles, deepen their voluntary service work, and make new contributions to economic and social development.
