Since the discovery of the “East African” skull fossils and the paleoliths of 1.75 million years ago in Tanzania in 1959, East Africa has become the center of attention of the ancient anthropological community. The discovery of KNM-ER1470 human skull fossils in Kenya in 1972 further deepens the longing for ancient anthropological workers in East Africa. In August 1977, we visited Quaternary Geology and Paleontology of Chinese Academy of Sciences on a non-visit group of six people and visited the two countries at the invitation of the Ministry of National Culture and Youth of Tanzania and the National Museum of Kenya. In the host’s warm hospitality and thoughtful arrangements, we have made important visits to ancient human sites and fossil sites. This trip is a great harvest, especially the friendship between our two friends is even more unforgettable.
